L'ORIENT was founded by Dr. Prasanthi Purusothaman, a general practitioner and cosmetic physician with a passion for skin health. She advocates for total wellness via a considered combo of efficacious skincare, nutritious diet, sleep and movement, but she’s also partial to an amaretto sour and truffle mushroom burger.

We think of skin health as a dynamic combination of elements. Skincare is important, but so are the zillions of small decisions you make towards your overall wellness throughout the day. It’s about chugging enough water (with the occasional Diet Coke thrown in for good measure), eating your greens and moving your body. It’s about getting enough sleep, managing stress and making time for the things in life you love to do most. Turns out, because of all these other lifestyle factors, there’s no one foolproof recipe for great skin that works for everyone.

L’ORIENT takes care of the topical and ingestible beauty side of things via our powerful and efficacious formulations. (And our sophisticated skin solutions do what they say on the box.) Our holistic approach doesn’t end there, we also explore the lifestyle components of healthy skin with our community through our blog and social channels. We don’t do pretentious or overblown, but we do marry scientifically-backed products with an all-encompassing perspective to help you optimise your skin health.
